Pay: $25-30 per hour

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week

About the Position

Navigate Real Estate is a growing, locally owned real estate brokerage building its own technology to transform how real estate professionals work.

We’re looking for a motivated, tech-savvy Software Developer to help build, improve, and maintain our proprietary software platform, Port Ivan.

Port Ivan brings together transaction coordination, back-office operations, marketing, and other business tools into one integrated system.

We embrace modern AI-assisted development tools, including Replit and AI coding assistants, to build applications efficiently. We’re looking for someone who enjoys technology, learns quickly, solves problems creatively, and is excited about using AI to develop real-world software.

You’ll work directly with company leadership to improve existing features, develop new functionality, troubleshoot issues, and help shape the future of our platform.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, improve, and maintain our proprietary software applications.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to build and modify software.
• Troubleshoot bugs and resolve technical issues.
• Develop new features based on feedback from employees and real estate agents.
• Improve user experience, functionality, and application performance.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Test software updates and ensure new features work correctly.
• Work with company leadership to plan and prioritize development projects.
• Research and recommend new technologies and tools.
• Regular in person meetings and trainings will be required at our offices (Fairfield, Vacaville, Petaluma, Middletown)
• Outside of scheduled meetings and other tasks, work location and schedule are flexible.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong computer skills and an interest in software development.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Replit, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT.
• Basic understanding of web applications, databases, APIs, and software development.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and independently research solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred, but Not Required

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, or SQL.
• Experience developing or maintaining web applications.
• Familiarity with GitHub, APIs, and database management.
• Experience with Replit or similar cloud development environments.
• Knowledge of real estate operations or business management software.

A computer science degree is not required. We value demonstrated technical ability, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn over formal education.
