Conversational AI Jobs

A Conversational AI engineer builds chatbots, voice assistants, and dialog systems that maintain coherent multi-turn interactions. Modern conversational AI sits on top of LLMs but adds the systems work specific to dialog: turn-taking, context management, persona consistency, function-calling for actions, and graceful failure when the model is wrong. The role is most common at customer-support automation companies, voice-AI startups, and inside large enterprises building employee-facing assistants. Strong candidates have shipped at least one assistant to real users and own the eval rubric for conversation quality.
