What is a Computer Vision?

A Computer Vision engineer builds systems that interpret images, video, or 3D data — detection, segmentation, tracking, OCR, depth estimation, and increasingly multimodal models that combine vision with language. The role spans classical CV (OpenCV, geometry, camera calibration) and modern deep learning (CLIP, SAM, vision transformers). Hiring is heaviest in robotics, autonomous vehicles, medical imaging, AR/VR, and increasingly in agentic systems that need to see screens or the physical world. Strong candidates have shipped at least one model to production hardware or real-time inference.
