Job Summary

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll turn data into practical machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. You’ll build, evaluate, and deploy models, partnering with research and analytics teams to solve real-world problems. Your impact: Reliable, scalable models help teams make better-informed decisions and deliver useful outcomes to the people they serve.

Responsibilities

• Prepare data through extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), data mining, and database design across SQL databases and big data systems.
• Develop and train AI models using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, with methods including unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, and natural language processing.
• Evaluate models through statistical modeling, statistical analysis, and research-focused analysis; communicate findings using analytics and data analytics tools.
• Deploy and scale models using AWS and other machine learning cloud services; contribute to Spark implementation and Hadoop-based workflows.
• Support AI implementation, machine learning/AI-based analysis, and generative AI projects; explore linked data and quantum engineering applications as relevant.

Skills

• Core: Machine learning, model training, model evaluation, AI models, scalability, and strong Python and SQL skills.
• Platforms and tools: AWS, TensorFlow, Spark, Hadoop, Talend, Looker, statistical analysis tools, and machine learning frameworks.
• Additional languages and systems: Java, C, R, SAS, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), big data, and SQL databases.
• Methods: Statistical analysis, statistical modeling, predictive modeling analysis, unsupervised learning, data mining, ETL, and database design.
• Preferred: Experience with machine learning cloud services, natural language processing, linked data, generative AI, AI implementation, statistical analysis for research, and quantum engineering.
