Job Summary
Snyk is hiring a Senior Professional Services Engineer to join our Customer Solutions team. You will work directly with customers to design and implement solutions that help them ship secure cloud-native applications, combining hands-on engineering with consulting and AppSec expertise. As AI agents write more of the world's code, our customers need partners who can turn Snyk's platform into working, scalable security programs, and who can carry what they learn back to Product and R&D.
About the Team
The Professional Services team sits within Customer Solutions and delivers expert implementation and trusted advisory so every customer gets full value from their Snyk investment. The team is deployed across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ and is led by our Senior Director of Implementation Consulting. You will partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, and R&D.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with customers on implementation and consulting engagements, owning delivery from discovery through hand-off.
- Write code and deliver technical integrations, configurations, and specialized solutions that fit each customer's environment and workflows.
- Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering on pre-sales activities, including technical scoping and preparing Statements of Work.
- Act as the voice of the customer, bringing direct feedback to Product and R&D to shape and test Snyk products.
- Deliver work on time and raise risks and roadblocks early, with clear options for the customer and the account team.
- Develop integrations and tooling around Snyk products that other teams and customers can reuse.
- Contribute blog posts and other thought leadership that share what you learn in the field.
- Advise customer engineering and security teams on rolling out Snyk across CI/CD pipelines and source control platforms.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, consultant, or Application Security Engineer, including hands-on use of Application Security tools.
- Extensive experience writing code, both independently and in a paired programming fashion, including shell scripts and more advanced scripts in Python or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience building pipelines and deploying code with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with git-based SCM tools such as GitHub and GitLab.
- Proficiency with the Linux command line.
- Understanding of software development, the SDLC, and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a genuine drive to help customers succeed.
- Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or ITSec, or equivalent experience.
- Working fluency with AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Gemini to speed up scripting, documentation, and analysis.
- Nice to have: experience in a post-sales technical implementation role for an AppSec, CI, or DevSecOps product or service.
- Nice to have: experience with technical scoping and writing technical Statements of Work.
